I have over 24 years’ experience in identifying, assessing and controlling Health and Safety hazards across a wide range of industries while employed as a Regulator by the Health and Safety Executive. I have regulated in a wide range of industries particularly construction, engineering, agriculture and manufacturing.
During Georgina’s 24 years as an Inspector with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), she conducted hundreds of workplace inspections and accident investigations, produced dozens of reports used in legal proceedings and presented evidence in the criminal courts.
Her reports assisted prosecutors to understand and proceed with cases and Georgina has frequently been involved in briefings to solicitors and Counsel. Georgina’s work for Pragma involves applying her experience to advise and report in civil and criminal proceedings.
Throughout her career Georgina has accumulated a wealth of asbestos experience working as a nominated asbestos Inspector for HSE’s Construction Division. She has conducted over 150 inspections of licensed asbestos contractors, undertaken over 50 ‘Duty to Manage’ interventions and investigated 32 asbestos related incidents resulting in 12 successful prosecutions. Georgina has vast experience in auditing duty holders’ asbestos policies and procedures, granting asbestos licenses and has consistently driven best practice in asbestos management across a range of industries.
Georgina’s regulatory experience is supported by a Post Graduate Diploma in Regulatory Occupational Health and Safety.
