I have over 23 years’ experience in identifying, assessing and regulating Health and Safety risk across a wide range of industries while employed as an Inspector with the Health and Safety Executive. I have regulated in a wide range of industries particularly asbestos, construction, engineering, agriculture and manufacturing. Prior to this, I established and managed a successful asbestos consultancy.
Matt’s career as an Inspector with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) saw him carry out hundreds of workplace inspections and accident investigations and prepare over 70 reports for use in legal proceedings. Matt also gave evidence to the Court in all of these prosecutions.
In addition to his 23 years’ at the HSE, Matt also previously established an asbestos consultancy business where he undertook hundreds of surveys and led a team of surveyors and analysts.
Matt’s experience as a HSE Inspector has given him knowledge and experience of a wide variety of industries including construction, agriculture, manufacturing and engineering. He was also one of the nominated asbestos Inspectors for HSE’s Construction Division where he had responsibility for the inspection and enforcement of both licensed and non-licensed asbestos removal work.
